Good questions

A little clarity.

Here’s what to know about PB and the app we’re developing.

What is Painy Brainy?

Painy Brainy is a companion app in development that brings pain education, everyday organization and optional comfort tools together around PB, a friendly brain character.

Can I download the app yet?

The app is in development and internal testing. There is no public download announced here and no confirmed release date. Android and iOS are being developed; features may differ while testing continues.

Is PB a doctor or a medical service?

No. PB provides general education and product support. It cannot diagnose you, prescribe treatment, or replace a qualified care professional. For urgent medical concerns, contact local emergency or urgent care services.

Can I talk to PB?

The app includes a developing conversational feature with separate chat sessions. AI responses can be incorrect. The mini PB on this website is a simple local guide with preset answers, not the app’s AI or a medical chat.

Can I explore the evidence behind an answer?

The app is being developed with optional sources and deeper evidence views. You can use these to explore a topic further, while remembering that research and AI summaries can have limitations. The Evidence page explains our approach.

What happens during a pain flare?

The development app includes a Flare toolkit with breathing, grounding, mindfulness and rest options. You choose what feels manageable and can stop at any time. These tools do not assess or treat an emergency.

Are the games a treatment?

No treatment claim is made. Stress Ball, Zen Garden and Ripple offer optional, low-pressure moments of play and a change of focus.

What about binaural or bilateral audio?

Some development audio explores binaural and stereo-drift sounds. Evidence and individual responses vary; PB does not promise therapeutic effects from these sounds.

Can PB email my clinic?

The draft and review flow is being developed, but app sending is currently disabled. The planned feature will ask you to review the content and confirm the recipient. Always check which communication channel your clinic accepts.

Does my clinic need special software?

The planned receiving workflow uses an ordinary email address, without a PB account or EMR integration. A clinic’s own policies still apply. This feature is not live yet.

Can clinicians explore PB?

Yes. The For Clinics page explains the current scope and limitations. Use the contact form for professional questions or feedback; no partnership or endorsement is implied.

How is my privacy handled here?

This website has no account, advertising trackers or AI chat. Its PB guide runs locally. Contact messages are sent through our email providers so the team can respond. Read the website privacy notice for details, and avoid including medical records or sensitive health information.

How much will the app cost?

Public app pricing has not been announced. Browsing this website and using its product guide are free.

How do I get support?

Use the contact form or support@painybrainy.com for product questions. Support is not an emergency or clinical service and is not monitored continuously.
